Accessibility Statement
This Accessibility Statement applies to the Change to Thrive website.
Change to Thrive is the trading name of Paul Staves, an independent sober coach based in the United Kingdom.
I want this website to be usable and accessible for as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technologies or have different access needs.
1. My approach to accessibility
I aim to:
- Use clear, simple language without unnecessary jargon
- Use headings and structure so content is easy to navigate
- Provide good colour contrast between text and background
- Make the site usable on desktop, tablet and mobile devices
- Avoid relying on colour alone to convey important information
Accessibility is an ongoing process. As I add and update content, I will continue to review and improve how accessible it is.
2. What should be accessible on this site
The goal is that you should be able to:
- Navigate most of the site using a keyboard
- Zoom in up to at least 200% without content becoming unusable
- Read text clearly without needing special styling or tools
- Use a screen reader to move between headings and sections in a logical order
If you experience barriers that stop this happening, I want to hear about it so I can review and improve things.
3. Known or possible limitations
Despite my efforts, some areas of the site may not yet be fully accessible. For example:
- Some images may not yet have perfect alternative text descriptions
- Occasionally, embedded content or forms from third parties may not fully meet accessibility standards
- PDFs or downloadable resources may not always be optimised for screen readers
If you encounter any of these issues, please let me know and I will do my best to provide the information in a more accessible format.
4. If you need information in a different format
If you need any information from this website in a different format (for example, larger print, a more accessible PDF, or plain-text email), you can contact me:
- Email: [email protected]
Please tell me:
- The page or resource you are trying to access
- The format you would prefer
- Anything else that would help me respond in a useful way
I will aim to respond within a reasonable timeframe and let you know what I can do.
5. Compatibility with browsers and devices
This website is designed to work with current versions of modern browsers such as:
- Chrome
- Edge
- Safari
- Firefox
If you are using older software or an outdated browser, some features may not work as intended. Updating your browser or using a different one may improve your experience.
6. Feedback and reporting accessibility problems
I welcome feedback about accessibility on this site.
If you find any problems not mentioned on this page, or if you think I am not meeting accessibility requirements, please contact me:
- Email: [your email]
- Subject line suggestion: “Website accessibility feedback – Change to Thrive”
I will review your feedback and consider practical steps to improve the site.
7. Legal context
As a small UK-based coaching practice, I aim to act in the spirit of the Equality Act 2010 by taking reasonable steps to make my services accessible and to avoid discrimination.
If you need independent advice about your rights, you can contact organisations such as the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) or other appropriate advice services.
8. Updates to this statement
I may update this Accessibility Statement from time to time, for example if the website changes or I improve how I manage accessibility.
